Roaming Thread is a live embroidery service run by Yasmine Abdo, a sole trader based in Melbourne (ABN 13 831 474 102). This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and who helps us handle it.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect the details you enter:
- your name, email address and mobile number
- your company, and the brand and agency, if you give them
- your event dates, location, hours, products and estimated guest numbers
- how you heard about us, and anything else you choose to tell us
With your enquiry we also record the page you sent it from and how you first found this website, such as the search, ad or link you followed.
We do not take payments on this website and never ask for card or bank details here. When you visit, our analytics tools also record how the site is used, described below.
How we use it
We use your enquiry to reply to you, prepare a quote, and plan and deliver your event if you book. We email you a copy of your enquiry so you have a record of what you sent.
We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who else handles it
A small number of services help us run this website and handle your enquiry:
- Vercel, which hosts this website
- Resend, which delivers your enquiry to us and your confirmation email to you
- Discord, where Rzki, the studio that built and looks after this website, receives a copy of each enquiry so it can make sure the form is working
- Supabase, a database where Rzki keeps a record of each enquiry for us, with how you found this website
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which tell us how the website is used
Some of these services store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and where they came from. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how people move through pages, through heatmaps and recordings of visits. Clarity hides what you type into the enquiry form.
When you first arrive, this website also sets its own cookie that remembers how you found it, such as the search, ad or link you came from, and sends that with your enquiry. It holds nothing that identifies you and expires after 30 days.
Google Analytics and Clarity place cookies too. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on. The website works without them.
Keeping your details
We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, deliver your event and keep the business records we are required to keep.
Access, corrections and questions
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them or have them deleted by emailing hello@roamingthread.com.au.
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, email us first so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
